Channels

A channel is a discussion space where multiple people can chat. Each channel has a specific theme or topic:

• #welcome: The main channel where everyone meets
• #help: To get help from moderators
• #twenties, #thirties, etc.: Age-based channels

Basic Commands

• /join #channel: Join a channel
• /msg nickname message: Send a private message
• /away message: Indicate you're away
• /list: List all public channels on the network
• /quit: Leave the chat

Moderators

Moderators (with @ before their nickname) are here to:

• Maintain a pleasant atmosphere
• Help users
• Enforce the charter

Tips

• Choose a unique nickname that represents you
• Respect other users
• Avoid flooding (repetitive messages)
• If you have a problem, contact a moderator on #help
